Once the gasses on your Ford are passed the Catalytic converter,
our free flowing exhaust systems offer no further restriction.
Our free flowing silncers allow the gasses to travel faster
down the rest of the exhaust then the Ford original fit.
Standard
exhaust v's stainless,
well, please bear in mind pretty much any car manufacturer acheives
quiet running by the cheapest methd possible...restriction.
In simple terms the pulses of air traveling down the tube come
with sound... sounds obvious, but lets go really simple. You
change the shape of the soundwaves and you change the sound,
going to the extreme, if you break up all the pulses to just
a "gas cloud" then you get almost silence.
Imagine
a the sound of a ping pong ball bouncing down a drain pipe,
along with it you would hear what was happening, if you could
mash that ping pong ball up into dust.. you would not hear it
traveling?!
Thr
problem with standard "Baffled" silencers are that
they acheive this effect, but by slowing and chopping up the
air, the slower it travels, the more it cools down. Cold gas
is heavy gas - and soon you could have a choking effect as hot
gasses are being restricted by the colder ones at the back!
If the engine can't beath out fast enough you loose power.
OK
it's a percentage, but it is still a gain, but please remeber
this...its the intelligent exhaust design from our systems that
claw back them BHP... the Stainless bit means that it will keep
doing it for life...
If
you want to have a fully standard sounding system, then we can
replace the middle section with a non restrictive free flowing
centre silencer, but if you would like to hear a little more
of the beautifully developed German engines natural exhaust
note then why not!

stainless steel exhaust systems are use free flowing silencers,
so in theory you could build a free flowing exhaust system made
entirely of our silencers that would feature no restriction
to exhaust gasses at all and therefor no loss to performance,
and even still offering an improvement to a standard replacement..

to let the gasses out of your Focus exhaust system faster,
and your engine is able to work more efficiently, then
it really could do with sucking in more air a bit quicker.
When you have your Focus exhaust system built by us, we
will fit you a new panel filter and not charge you a penny
